Elephant Kraal, Ayutthaya

The Elephant Kraal is where the working elephants of Ayutthaya are kept at night. At dusk, Classic Barges cruises up the Lop Buri River to the kraal where you can see the elephants taking their evening bathe in the river. You can hand feed these gentle, playful animals from the front deck and depending on the elephant and its mahout you may be able to ride the swimming elephant. (This is one of our most popular activities.)
