Built in 1908 by HRH Prince Chakrabongse, son of King Rama V, Chakrabongse House was originally used when he attended royal ceremonies at the nearby Grand Palace, and for picnics and excursions on the river. It later became the residence of Prince Chula Chakrabongse, historian and writer. Today it is lovingly maintained by his daughter MR Narisa. The three Thai villas and pristine swimming pool, in a beautiful garden setting, makes Chakrabongse House a virtual oasis and a perfect place to stay, amid the frenetic bustle in the heart of old Bangkok. |
