Private Group Charters

Classic Barges offers high end day or overnight group cruises, which are based on our luxury private charter itineraries and are ideally suited for:

• Overseas friends and relatives visiting expatriates in Thailand

• Family reunions

• Common interest groups

• Tour operators

• Educational institutions etc.

Similar to our luxury private day and overnight charters, these economical cruises provide a luxurious style of exploring the rivers’ unique attractions.  Encompassing art, history and exotic, traditional Thai cuisine, the itineraries offer a relaxing, hassle free experience in the privacy of a chartered barge.

For multi day trips, overnight accommodation is provided at the exclusive Wave Side Club, Ayutthaya Garden River Home Resort and the Krungsri River Hotel in Ayutthaya.  (The Wave Side Club’s accommodation is principally double beds, whilst the Ayutthaya Garden River Home accommodation is principally twin beds.)

In the interests of comfort, we currently limit the number of guests on any sector to a maximum of 20.

Pricing:  there are 2 pricing options; only one option is applied for the whole group

1. Pay as you go: The preferred option for private groups and some corporate groups is for the guests to individually settle their accommodation and restaurant bills directly with the provider, and to pay entrance fees as applicable.  This permits guests to select accommodation options to suit their individual requirements; it also permits a-la-carte dining instead of set-menu meals.  In addition, it negates entrance fees which are inapplicable for Thai nationals.

   Water and instant beverages are provided; other beverages and snacks are sold onboard, however private groups are welcome to bring their own beverages and snacks if preferred, without corkage fees.  (To avoid conflicts, this option is not available for groups with join-in guests.)

2. All-inclusive price: The second option which better suits tour operators and other corporate groups is to charge a set amount per person which covers: twin share standard accommodation, set-menu meals and entrance fees at riverside attractions; a single surcharge for accommodation is applied if applicable.  This option does not facilitate discounts for children, unless sharing accommodation with 2 adults.

   Standard non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are provided, premium non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are sold onboard, however private groups are welcome to bring their own beverages if preferred, without corkage fees.  (To avoid conflicts, this option is not available for groups with join-in guests.)

For the shore components, neither payment option includes the hire of sporting facilities, beverages, mini-bar, telephone, spa services or other extras; the accounts for which must be settled directly with the service providers.
